KRIS Russian River: Chart Page

Area Mark West
Topic Temperature: Floating Weekly Avg., Mark West Cr. Sites, 2000

Caption:  This Chart shows the floating weekly average water temperature at six Mark West Creek sites for the year 2000. Maximum floating weekly average water temperatures (MWAT) exceeded 16.8°C at every site, with the exception of the uppermost site (MW11), which may be above a coho barrier. Welsh et al. (2001) found that coho are not likely to persist where MWAT exceeds 16.8°C. See InfoLinks for more information. Temperature data comes from automated water temperature data probes placed in the Russian River and its tributaries by the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA).
