This photo was taken looking upstream three years after project completion. The willows are well established on the right and left banks. The area on the left bank looking upstream where the mattess ends is under another ownership. Photo by Evan Engber, Bioengineering Associates.

This photo was taken during Spring 2003 and shows thriving willow riparian zones and a well defined active stream channel that would allow passage for adult steelhead and downstream migrating juveniles. Photo courtesy of Circuit Rider Productions.

The bank along the Fetzer property at left is now stable, protecting their land. The scouring area along the rip rap is providing improving fish habitat used by steelhead at least seasonally. The willows are starting to extend over the water which provides good cover for juvenile salmonids migrating downstream. The opposite bank is under another ownership. This closeup photo was taken looking upstream on Dooley Creek in Spring 2003. The hole scoured around willow baffle just upstream of Highway 175 would provide some habitat in spring for juvenile steelhead on their downstream migration. Photo by Evan Engber, Bioengineering Associates.
