Caption:  The Chart Table "land_use_sheepcounties_census_87_99_farmsize.db" was derived from the Source Table "land_use_sheepcounties_census_87_99_source.db." It contains data on the changes in the size distribution of farms in Kennebec, Lincoln, and Waldo counties during the period 1987-1997. These three counties comprise most of the Sheepscot watershed. Note that the data are for the entire extent of the each county, not just the pieces that are in the Sheepscot watershed. Data were collected by the U.S. Census of Agriculture. A key to column headings: Short_Name = A short name used for labelling, Farm_Size_Category = Size categories of farm size (ac is acres), Acres_1987 = Number of farms in each size class in 1987, Acres_1992 = Number of farms in each size class in 1992, Acres_1997 = Number of farms in each size class in 1997.
