DescriptionFrom 1956-1959, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service operated a weir below Head Tide Dam on the Sheepscot River to study Atlantic salmon. They trapped, counted, and marked both upstream-migrating adults and downstream-migrating juveniles. Methods, results and discussion of the project are written up in a report by Stickney (1959), and data from that report were included in KRIS Sheepscot. Charts were built in KRIS for adult and juvenile salmon counts at weir. Original document is available in the KRIS bibliographic resources section.
