KRIS Battle Creek: Chart Page

Area North Fork Battle
Topic Temperature: Average at 3 North Fork Locations 1998

Caption:  The average daily temperature of the North Fork Battle Creek in 1998 was warmest just above its confluence with the South Fork. Locations upstream were progressively cooler at Wildcat and Eagle Canyon Dams, respectively. High flow releases in 1998 helped keep stream temperatures well within ranges favorable to winter run chinook eggs and holding adult spring chinook in all reaches of the North Fork. Winter chinook eggs typically hatch before June 30. No data were available from 6/19 to 7/2/98. See Info Links for information on temperature thresholds.
