This is the second KRIS project sponsored by the Battle Creek Watershed Conservancy. Funding came from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as part of the Anadromous Fisheries Restoration Program. KRIS Battle Creek Version 1.0, released in July 1998, was constructed to support the Battle Creek Salmon and Steelhead Restoration Plan (Ward and Kier, 1998). It focused on hydropower dam issues such as passage, flow and water temperature.

KRIS Battle Creek Version 2.0 assembles basin-wide data and presents the results of the Battle Creek Watershed Assessment, published in 2004 by Terraqua, Inc. KRIS contains the data on which this report was based, as well as summary charts and maps, which allow results to be viewed by location.

The contents of KRIS Battle Creek were developed by Kier Associates. There is no expressed or implied endorsement of the contents of this project by the Battle Creek Watershed Conservancy.
