Caption:  The chart shows forced pool types found in the Navarro basin, with fewer than 20% of pools formed by large woody debris. Large wood removal from streams and harvest in riparian zones has decreased the amount of large wood available to form scour pools (See Hypothesis #3). Conversely, large woody debris forced pool types in John Smith Creek may be influenced by LWD enhancement projects by Mendocino Redwood Company in the survey reach. Data provided by Entrix et al.
