| Caption: This chart shows median particle size (d50) from samples sites along the South Fork Battle Creek as measured in 2001-2002. Reference lines show the EMDS "fully functional" values for D50, which represent an optimal range associated with salmonid habitat. While site #020 fell within optimal range, site #036 had a D50 that feel under this range. Despite the fact that all sites are located in response reaches (light blue chart bars), most have D50 larger than 96 mm. Site #060 was not sampled for D50. All reaches are accessible to anadromous fish except site #014. Abbreviations are ds = downstream and ab = above. Data from Terraqua (2004). See Info Links for more information. | |
